This specific skill keeps the project up to date in every respect. The management working on the changes to the project (both addition & deletion) ensures that the basic entities of the project (scope, time , cost , quality) is maintained and accounted for. This could affect the over all performance of the project in terms of implementation. If additional changes are introduced to the project through the approval process already in place (change notices , approvals etc ) there is an impact on the scope , cost , time & quality of the project. Such changes needs to be tapped and projected in front of the client to help recover and or save finances involved. Similarly, the same process needs to be followed up at the time deletion happens to the project. There could be several possible reasons for the change to happen and this is possible at any stage right from Inception / planning to the closing stage. Some of the possible reasons are as follows :

  • Missing out entities at the design stage / conceptual stage ( Architectural Change )
  • Change in requirements of the client ( Architectural / structural change )
  • Miscalcullation at the design stage ( Structural design change )
  • Introduction of value engineering to the project at any stage etc etc ..........................................

Change management should be an active part of the project and shouldn's be left to be taken care off at the closing stage.

To keep updating the system and reflecting the same in product upgradation with the engineering requiremnents, material specification and maufacturing techniques. This can be done through change notices apprved by concerned departments. In case of drawings, iterations can be routed through change notices.
