As Marketing Coach in Master degree in University, mixing concepts scare me.
Creativity and Marketing are different concepts from First to Last letter.
Please you need to note that:
1. Marketing is the "tool/concept" that you might use to promote a Product or a Service of a corporation or institution.
2. Creativity is the "shape" that you might use to create a sensation in your Promotion/Advertising.
With this in mind, it is simple a matter of fact, that creativity is tied to owner of the Product/Service you need to promote.Several times, you will need to promote/advertise a product that is related to Government and you cannot use "Creativity" to do it... as it is an official publication where you just simply need to be clear and effective.
When this happens, you need to use "Marketing" tools to secure that your message is powerful enough to become comprehensive by your target audience, but you cannot be creative & imagine to put "Red flowers and a nice Car behind it"; just need to be strictly polite and find the best way to promote the "item" using and placing the power of the message in the challenging highlights
For example: If you are targeting mass audience with a mass product, then creativity and concept might be linked, due that you will need to generate an impacting campaign to attract more leads & prospect customers.
This means that to secure really nice campaigns you need a Marketing Strategist and a Creative profile, as with both you'll always be capable to promote the right campaign with right creativity to the prospect audience in the right way.
Best regards
Marketing is one area where creativity is vital and plays a very important role.

"Marketing is an important process and can not be dispensed it" this my opinion
But any one can deny this speech
Everyone is thinking and have his own theories
We must respect all points of view
