To motivate students, teacher must be able to inspire them. Make them think of how important it is to study. Cite yourself as an example. Tell them the consequences of being able to graduate and not being able to graduate. Make the learning process interactive. Understand your students' weakness and don't judge easily. Tell them that there may be challenges but we all go through them. Again, you can tell them of the hardships you have gone through while studying (to help them be able to relate / connect with you) how you were able to overcome them and the success you got after. Give positive reinforcements like saying Very good! giving them rewards. Be appreciative and make the learning environment fun!

Your own personality and strength of character are key to being able to motivate students. If you are enthusiastic, speak with feeling, knowledgeably and with touches of humour (at the appropriate time), interesting and with an outgoing nature, you will succeed.
