What is a 'barter deal'?

So I've was interviewing with someone yesterday and he told me that he wants someone to get him barter deal... Honestly, this is the first time I hear of such a ''term'' but he explained that for example if he want to participate in an exhibition he wouldn't pay for it but he would offer an ad on the website or social network places in exchange for a booth... is that really called barter deals, and can someone explain the process to me please??

Barter Means simply "The exchange of goods or services without the use of money as currency or a medium" the trick is to have services the other party needs to attract them and to exclude CASH from the deal.
Barter Deals should be mutually beneficial for both parties and considered as an alliance that both parties objectives will be achieved through the same, equal or Dollar per Dollar value is mostly used even if there is no Cash but the value of services or Goods should be almost equal.

Bartering provides a way for companies to create value by using their own products or services to exchange products and services in other places; this could be tangible items or even admoney.
The role of barter specialists like the job you applied to is to make it happen and to manage the process.
