The difference is related to the kind of environment. i.e., in the mangerial environment there is two-way communication (up and down) but in the military there is one-way communication, downward communication.
In reality they are very similar, Leaders are Leaders! The biggest single difference is that ultimately Business Leadership is about profit. Military Leadership is about human lives. Obedience in the military is total and is probably less so in the business world, due to the inherent ethos of discipline in the military.
both are almost same but the big or the only difference between these two is that the base of managerial leadership is about money and in the military leadership it is about lives.
The difference here lies behind the definition of both orgainzations; leaders are leaders and should hold the carizma to be leaders; but the morals behind each organization cause the difference and the managerial leader is driven and will drive for the profit incentive of the organization while the military leader is driven behind the patriotism and will drive to build the best of it.
Nothing. Both field based on mission and both leader's have to complete it. I think the difference is only the nature of field work.
A leader from business side should prove to be role model, where as a leader from military side should prove to be the best implementing authority.
I see that the difference lies in the policies and procedures each of them have to implement.
I believe that both must master the same skills. The military leadership uses more emotional tactics than business leaders since they are important to the success in the military operations.
A great job, all experts, thank you.
