One of the main characteristics of a leader is to lead by example. Well, it doesn't mean that a leader should have set an example for every possible thing the company needs. But of course, if leader brings his/her leadership qualities and not 'manager' qualities, then it will create a level of trust among the followers. A leader's first job is not to set the objectives of the business, but to know people he/she is working with and win their trust. A good leader creates an environment that his/her followers need not be instructed on every single thing, rather he/she sets the objectives and ensures he/she is doing everything possible to meet those objectives. This is turn helps him/her win people's trust. (Thanks for this long-read)
Yes. Walk the talk...simple.
True of course
– The manager maintains; the leader develops.
– The manager focuses on systems and structure ; the leader focuses on people & system , targets and vision.
– The manager relies on control; the leader inspires trust.
– The manager has a short-range view; the leader has a long-range perspective.
– The manager asks how and when; the leader asks what and why.
– The manager has his or her eye always on the bottom line; the leader’s eye is on the horizon.
– The manager imitates; the leader originates.
– The manager accepts the status quo; the leader challenges it.
– The manager is the classic good soldier; the leader is his or her own person.
– The manager does things right; the leader does the right thing.
Yes I beleief it is true because leader will be a role model for followers. I extend in what ways she/he set an example and what actually leaders do:
Big YES and not only that but you MUST be an example by start with yourself , example about employee attendance , we all say every one MUST come on time and don't leave on time but at least10 or15 minutes later , you can start by yourself as you come early15 minutes as you be the star which can light up your team and no one can never and ever say that you are leader then you come late but on the opposite , it will reflect that you come the first and leave the last.
As the saying goes.... Do as I do not as I say ...... I believe having mutual respect , the bettter understanding you will have of your employees and they will go the extra mile to achieve results . Not just for the company, but for themselves personally. I believe in building people up and not breaking them down. Stronger Sales Executives equal Better Sales not just achieving targets but smashing them.... Staff turnover not high and building strong sales teams and exceeding customer expectations and employee expectations on all levels. A content and happy sales exec attracts satisfied customers and ensures repeat business. It should be team work all the way with respect and dedication from both sides.
This is true, because any one follows what you do, if you act you get an act, if you instruct only, you will get long answers without targeted results. So the true instructor must have an important experience in what he does to know what exactly he chooses to say (dynamic speech into teamwork)
I willl keep this short and to the point. You must lead by example. You cannot lead where you refuse to go.
to some extent YES good leaders lead by Example but for every possible task its not necessry or possible.
A good leader sets an example where his team members struggle for success.
If you are just firing orders to your subordinates you will create an needed gap between you and your team, instade you need to inspier them and precieve you as a rowmodel for them so they subconciancly act like you.
so simple "if you are doing good they will and if you are not they will not"
The best way to lead is ladind by example so you are right
