How to keep meetings focused and on track?

I believe that Effective and Successful meetings do not happen automatically.we need to first understand whom to contact; how to do that by understanding the market through social networks or marketing analysis.. Etc in order to have a view of whats going on the market you're targeting. and there should be a Plan Ahead for Best Results Preparing a detailed meeting agenda so if you're talking about a meeting between HR Consultant and an Employer: This Agenda should include the following: checking their current openings, how they recruited before, their budget, their current and if possible future needs, listen to acquire more and guide them to the right recruitment package, and show them respect by showing up on time, presentable and prepared for the meeting and always value their input. You'll have an outstanding results and more active participation - both important elements of a successful meeting. Additionally, if the purpose of your meeting is to finalize an important decision, plan in order to ensure that the meeting will run smoothly and be merely a formality in the approval process.

I second that Wilma, its all about organizing and preparing.
knowing more about the second party will make you very confident about your recommendations especially if you're offering them service.
you need to qualify and address their needs accurately in order to provide them with the best solution.
this would result on a higher satisfaction rate.

To be able to keep meetings focused and on tract should be these ways.
The meeting organizer should should have written plans ahead of the meetings but also ready to accept some good suggestions and poit of view from the group as well.
The meeting agenda should be clearly stated its goals and objectives for a positive interactions and approval by both the management and employees and the meeting should be for the benefits of everybody, for everybody's improvement especially for a company's success and stability.

Preperations are worthwhile to make the meetings pivitol. If no homework is done, it would create ample mess and confusion. So better not to squander the precious time at work, groundwork is what i highly recommend.

Prepare pre-meeting agenda (setting fair time to discuss for each point) circulated clearly on the meeting members before the meeting with enough time.
In the meeting there should be a time keeper who will keep eyes on the time as set in the agenda.
The meeting should have someone to write (minutes of meeting) that will be circulated between meeting member after the meeting.
Any new issue raised in meeting is written in the minutes of meeting to be discussed in a new meeting.
