If you have studied project management, general management, business administration or marketing for example, do you have any chance of becoming a hotel manager?
I believe that it is not a MUST to study Hospitality Management in order to be a hotel manager . It is for sure that having a bachelors degree in the same field contributes but hotel management is a very demanding profession . A hotel manager should have solid understanding in marketing management , branding , PR ,communication , people management and finance . So in my opinion someone who studied business , marketing , journalism, communication or finance can be a very successful hotel manager .
Management is management it shouldn't need any specific degree for hotel management
Education is a plus.ıt provides having vision and ability to update in sector.so you do not need to have educatıon for being manager.
it's absolute necessity
poeple coming from food and beverages, front office, sales and marketing can be a good hotel manager, but never a finance poeple.
Absolutely! I know several successful hotel managers who majored in another subject not related to hospitality or don't have a degree at all. On the contrary, you can find hotel managers with a degree in hospitality who are bad at their job and end up quitting it. That depends on your dedication to your job and whether it suits your personality. Though a bachelor degree in hotel management or a master's degree can help you cut a few years on your way to becoming a big shot in hospitality.
Yes it is posible to become any of the above mention positins.A project manager, business management,or marketing manager all can become as a hotel manager becouse it all have inter-relations in almost everything they do.
