You have to keep a balance in reporting your findings because reporting each and everything in audit reports is not a job of auditor keeping in mind the human resource and other factor in any position. In my point of view you must have a scale to evaluate what to report and what not to report and if this comes under (Political Correctness) than in my opinion it should be.

Well,in my humble view,Internal auditors should not be politically biased. They should and are expected to report exactly what they find-out in their cause of duty.Because we have CODE OF ETHICS regarding our profession and standards. However, the need to be tact full in addressing. political issues is very important.(I.E.avoid stepping on toes of influential personalities).
Thank you for affording me to express my opinion.

EMMANUEL FALOHUN.
