Since my area of speciality is Marketing, I'd begin with conducting "Market Research". It is a systematic process aimed at objective collection and analysis of data. I'd aim it at defining the target market.The information gained through marketing research can guide our most important strategic business decisions and our communication with current and potential clients. It also helps us in identifying opportunities.
Once we have good research, we'd be able to formulate effective and targeted market campaigns that speak directly to the people we're trying to reach in a way that interests them.
For example, some retail stores ask customers for their zip codes at the point of purchase. This information, which pinpoints where their customers live, will help the store's managers plan suitable direct mail campaigns.
