It depends on what you are studying. If you are studying customer psychology, it doesn't change much at all. For e.g.if you are studying the behaviour of consumer to certain responses of the organisation. The consumer will behave in a pattern.
If you are studying the effectiveness of the tools and technologies, it might change since competitiors are constantly trying to build better tools by studying human nature.
(kindly note that i am looking for a sales or marketing role in a marketing agency)
With rapid changes nowadays i would say within a year to two at tops !
