How did you get started with your career as a fashion designer?

You must develop line on the paper, join a manufacturing unit, select fabrics you want to use. Get samples developed, take pictures and send them to various fashion stores for selection at the same time look for trade shows happening in the country you want to sell to. Display your line and people will start recognizing you. After one or two public exposures fashion stores will start placing orders for you to manufacture. If people like your styling then stores will order and give you opportunity to design full range of apparel that you have passion for. Certainly after one or years you will be displaying your line on the ramp to be recognized as  a Fashion Designer.

I didn't actually start a career in fashion design , however I am in the level of wide extended knowledge about the domain, i loved fashion design since enfance and I got the chance to enter fashion design world from the academic side, now we're about to embark on the occupational one, there are plenty of websites that direct people who are beginning a business in fashion industry but I recommend personal practice.
