First, verify that the administrative system of the company includes the organizational structure, responsibilities, tasks required and that must be in harmony with the objectives and scope of work of the company. Then the challenge is to apply this system through senior management respect.
Secondly, establish of indicators to measure the performance of the most important processes for the company to verify the move in the right way to achieve the company's goals. The results of these indicators should be announced and discussed on a regular basis to provide continuous improvement in work.
As we can't change the company culture, best thing is to organize internal trainings and keep them motivated.
According to you power and influence in the organization, if you have sufficient power then you can change. Otherwise you just introduce your idea(s) to the decision makers.
I will start by discussing the issue with my team highlighting that it is an opportunity and work with them to organize our selves as an objective show case for the rest of the organization. Once this is done, I will work with our internal customers and suppliers to organize our interactions to every body's benefit.
The last step will be to present the results to collegues and management team with a proposal to be discussed and finanlized for approval and then implement the approved plan.
I expect everybody to follow because everybody is eager to succeed and prosper. If this is not the case, I will ciontinue to organize my team and its interactions with internal customers and suppliers.
