Why do you write? Is it an intrinsic push or it is an extrinsic one?

People turn to writing for a variety of reasons. Some of the reasons are a result of an inside push to write, they are compelled to write because they see a need to do so.Some write because they love money and it is through writing that they can make a living.Where do you stand in this scenario?

I write because it is my passion since childhood.  It's an intrinsic push.

I paint with words, make my thoughts come alive and through it, know that others can see and feel what I do.  Its like doing a painting...

I write because of a combination of the two, inside and outside determinants. Actually, any ""push" has to be matched with excellence, capacity and a good stratetgy to market onself as a writer.
