Tell me about a job or project where you worked unsupervised and were given only general guidelines for job/project completion?

Most of my  previous work with IBM and others consisted of jobs and projects where I had a general guideline regarding the deliverable and the way to get there.    The rest would come as a result of doing the homework, working with the customer, working with colleagues and partners, studying available documentation, analysing current situation, identifying the gaps between what exists and what is desired, ... etc .. etc .. etc !
