“Low-paid sales people are expensive, and high-paid sales people are cheap”. Do you agree?

What is the meaning of this weird paradox? Is it even true?

I do not agree because in some cases the lack of sales increase of profit is particularly expensive goods

It rather depends on one's sales turnover.

Any business man obviously try to keep their manpower cost at lower side initially to keep the expenses under control because he is not sure enough about the turnover and returns.

It may work for some time and he may reap short term benefits but over a period of time expenses will rise and his own organisation structure will consume available resources and it will lead to situation where low paid manpower will become expensive because they may not able to encash bigger opportunities.

Yes, its true. The value of weired paradox applicable for the low paid sales force is expensive and high paid sales force is less expensive due to the marginal and total utility of the sales force.

 

Second, in general, its depends upon the productivity and sales commissioin or bonus based.

Good sales people are fairly compensated based on their contribution.

Low-paid and high-paid are subjective measures, I believe they be related to actual sales. Within this context I think every body should avoid low-paid or high-paid sales people.
