Being an avid reader and writer, I can't emphasize enough on the fact that writing makes you a smarter, more honest and more sensitive person. Whether you write a proposal, a spec-doc, a blog, daily diary or company updates, it's the thinking that goes behind each word that evolves you in every role you play. The subtleties of life, people and situtations get clearer by the virtue of writing. To the non-beleivers I suggest writing for15 minutes a day for30 days and see how strenuous yet how enriching it is. Reading - the indispensable byproduct of writing - is a rather priceless addiction too.
ancient romans said "It has not happened if it is not written!" ..... Just imagine Platon, or Aristotel newer wrote down anything! .....or Nikola Tesla, or Meša Selimović, or Orhan Pamuk ......or anyone ....we would not be able to learn about different paeople, their habbits, way of life, we would not know so much both good and great things, but also bad things happening around
