High technical products need to be properly marketed. Some methods can be making an open exhibition for the display of the products, then it can be seminars for the people about the benefits,social media, newspapers and television coverage. Make it accessible to the people, it will automatically reach the correct user.

Firstly radio is listened by masses and specially due to the introduction of the varous FM channels its preferred by most of the young generation.

Secondly very cost effective in comparision to others.hence less media cost and high revenue generation which is a major concern in this competative business world.

The best way to go about is a mix of direct marketing strategies. Since the product is of high value and has a niche segment, identify the decision makers( both business & IT decision maker) and target them separately using either a personalised direct mail  or email( separate for IT and Business) and follow up with a telecall to check their interest levels and fix an appointment.

As if we talk for High Price technical products, there is not a common way, infact there is communatative way. 

As if there is high price then it is sure that the customers are also of high caliber, a person should first identify and study the charactersticks of doing business of high caliber customers and should analze the points where they interact directly and at that point we can easily merit their attention towards us by excellent and mannered communication. Here the communication media may be social networks, professional networks, but not for sure at Movie houses etc which places relates to entertainment.

Just think do we like to talk about business when we are at entertainment place.

This is my personal view & experience, would like to have views of all respected readers of my answer.

The COMMON ways to promote High-price technical products is varying in different industries. (I ma just mentioning the norms, not debating whether its right way or wrong).

 

In FMCGs - Media / Radio advertisement / Cinema Adv.

In Pharmaceuticals Selling - Sales Promotion / Direct selling

In Electronics Selling - Radio / Other means of Adv. & Promotion.

Machineries - Direct promotions. etc. etc.

B) Direct selling, if it is high priced technical prodcuts it means it is for specific induustry, so one look for these users and make a direct contact.
