Social behavioral change takes place a painfully slow pace?

Social change in this crowd-sourced world has emerged as a combination of arts and science. We have to craft our strategies and than use scientific tools to influence people. But how many can influence how many remains the tug of war. Who will win?

There is always someone stronger, and someone always weak.

Depends on the game, the context and how much we want to change the rules.

Why should you be someone who wins and someone to lose?

I would approach this from an agentetic perspective. Those who are determined to take personal and collective social agency perspective can bring in social change beneficial to the community of change. To sustain it they should live the change and practice it in their daily life.

Dear Mony

thats exactly my point. because in somany situations people engaged in this transformational roles gets upset because bringing a behavioural change is not about winning or loosing but its about understanding the local context, dynamics and even geopolitical situations and economic issues. I am glad you came up with a pertinent point, would like to hear more on this from other colleagues and friends on this platform.

regards

Social behavioral change takes place in a painfully slow pace and why? Because anything behavioral takes time to manifest. So one need to be patient and steadfast about the results.

If expectations are not met, then one need to forge ahead and re-strategize to fashion a way out.

Let me talk from the Nonprofit perspective, as this question could apply to many instances.

Social change/development takes time because not so many people are interested in it. Not for profit ventures (not business as usual), donors get frustrated if their funds are mismanaged, stakeholders do not understand their new role as nonprofit experts, the community sometimes rebuffed these changes and the world needs are becoming too enormous to satisfy/provide in a giving time. A reason why it seems the change is taking place in a painfully slow pace, and those in need might not be able to wait to enjoy from it.

Sometimes when it comes to life and death, mortality may even take place before the change arrive, quite painful indeed.

So what are we to do?

What are our responsibilities?

What role do we have to play to fix this?

So many questions to asked with even little or no answer to them, so who is in charge and who is taking it upon themselves to make this happen? Someone need to step forward and they need to do so now or the challenge continues the way it has always been.

And since there are little "risk takers" now on planet earth and nobody wants to lose, everybody wants to be a winner and the competition for survival becomes so enormous. What are you waiting for?
