What are the different stages of Print Production?

PRINT PRODUCTION,

on modern web offset printing press, the process stages will include,

make ready

computer programme for press, selecting units/folders/ reelstands,etc.

load programme selecting preset curves for colour values.

set folder, (jaw/grippers, straight/ collect, nip rollers, drum circumference, lap)

set web tensions, (dancer rollers, infeed/ out feed or drag rollers, RTF rollers, )

load plates ( making sure all plates are loaded correctly and aligned100%)

web up the press,

assuming there is no problem with the (blankets,dirty or damaged, ink fountaings all pumping well. water PH/Conductivity is within recommedned guide, ink /water dripping issues are all resovled)

check the folder dropping well, final checks.

before staring, make sure all reels are scanned and computer is prepared with all data.

 

 

running makeready

start-up, accelerate switching on water rollers, impression, ink rollers.

have the press run at optimum makeready speed

check colour, register, cut off, side lays, page numbers, bar code, any discrepetency.

if all good and its okayed by pre-press

let it go to the stacter and accelerate to a optimum production speed.

keep checking the job for quailty throgh out the run.
