yes, good question regarding performance. my view point is that this is being practiced all around the world by the management. i will vote YES but i want that this should be improved as6months performance because if your boss is happy with you than its ok , reverse means you have wasted an year with a company where boss liking and disliking matters a lot. love your job but never love your company because you never know when your company ends up its love. good luck
Hi Sir..
Performance management is a process by which managers and employees work together to plan, monitor and review an employee’s work objectives and overall contribution to the organization. More than just an annual performance review, performance management is the continuous process of setting objectives, assessing progress and providing on-going coaching and feedback to ensure that employees are meeting their objectives and career goals. Most of the company's adopt a quaterly review schedule for effective implementation of the said system.

True, sometimes you can be rewarded in6 months also it your performance is excellent.
true.
it needs not be an annual event it should be more frequent to encourage work force
it's true
TRUE, I agree with you annual performance appraisal will be done in right time that would be helpful for employees as well as organization. I suggest half yearly review of performance between supervisor and supervisee though set yearly that would be helpful to evaluate how much achieved of this objective and in what ways next six months will be performed. Otherwise performance appraisal main objectives will be absent. For example, If supervisor sat annually with supervisee, supervisee will lose a chance to rectify him or her.

In my openion this is true
False. (A person's performance and progress and project work, etc., benefit enormously from more frequent appraisal discussions than once a year. Informal appraisals can be conducted as frequently as is helpful. Obviously the more frequent, the less formal, which is another benefit.)
