Supplier Management is the organisation, controlling, and development of supplier relationships. Supplier Management is based on four interlocking modules, through sourcing, evaluation, classification and development of suppliers is achieved.Effective supplier development and management should deliver a competitive advantage in cost, quality, delivery/responsiveness, technology, and innovation achieved.

Supplier quality management (SQM) is considered as a proactive approach in the buyers’ perspective to seek for continuous supply quality improvement and collaborative ongoing alliance between buyers and suppliers.

- Key factors to be considered for supplier evaluation:

Following things consider during th selection of Supplier

  • Ability to meet company  requirement (quantitative and qualitative).
  •   Availability of required infra structure /facilities/skilled manpower/Stock availability. 
  • Reliability.     
  •  Location of supplier/Service promptness
  •  Certification to ISO9001:2000 ( if required)
  •  Where required visits are carried out at supplier end to see his  infrastructure/facilities/  manpower.
  •  In case of outsourced activities the details of process, required equipments, process parameters are studied and discussed with supplier
  • samples are asked as per Company specification. Trials are conducted, before Selection and approval

Identifying import material of your client which is urgent , next the area of all supplier. Find best rate for a warehouse to consolidate and keep3 to4 booking for sea or air to meet the deadline and monitor. Instruct All supplier to dispatch goods even in parital lot so that if you reach to capacity of your budgeted target then you can ship it so that the client is also staified with what is comming .
