  • Trade union is the competitor for any hr dept. If the hr dept is able to look after the interest of the emploees there would be no need for trade unions.
  • If a company has multiple trade unions representing defferent segments of emploees it is even more dangerous as the hr dept has to negotiate with all of them. Sometimes the trade unions with minority support could go on wild-cat strike just to show their power.
  • Collective bargaining could lead to raising of emploee slary and benifits to such levels that the co becomes uncompitative in the Global market. It has led to outsourcing of jobs from the DEVELOPED WEST to Asia , Africa and Latin America.
