an employee returns from from abroad after vacation as per the ticket prvided by the company and it is his reporting date as well as last working date before weekend .and then he reaches in the night when he can not join the work . he joins after2 off days. in this scenario should we pay him these three days or not
First of all there should be a buffer of at least1-2 days between his/her joining date and Return Ticket so that situation may not arise.
Answering your question :
yes he should be paid for all three days as per your company policy. if deducted he/she may raise the claim the the ticked provided had not enough buffer time for him/her to reach in time for the job.
It all depends on the situation and nature of job. Being an IT professional, there no off whether it is holiday or night.
Depend on the company policy and labour law
