If any of the seniors or HR has questioned you about this then; try sitting with HR, MD and that person in front of you and then gently raise the problem.

Otherwise; if there are no questions around and just rumors as you think; ignore everything and maintain your spirit of work for which you are liable to answer.

Negotiation is always your key to success.

a team leader who continuously report to manager or managing director against me in secret is an act of insubordination and also an act breaking team work. insubordination slow achievement of a team down, i recommend he or she move to another team or department. Obviously that person has no intergrity and can not be trusted.

if this is the case, this is mean that the relation between the leader and this member is corrupted.

in this case, the leader must care of this member, and help to be more active and grow the relation to be better, he has to give him trust and feeling that he is honest and important in the team.

this member must be trained to solve problems with the leader, and other members, face to face without going back to the management
