In my opinion : Designer always needs to practice and maintain its ability to design, and this comes with training and practice.
Knowledge and ability to design and talent always produce a professional designer and creator.
Talent alone is not enough to produce a successful design, and it is not sufficient to bring out the creative designer.

Interest could be a first step, practice may be the second step But proper training is the key to success.

Honestly, you're interest is not enough, it can only be the source that gets you going to persue the learning process and gain experience....you can be so creative, talented & super interested, but if u dont have the skill to get all that out in terms of physical work, only a handful of ppl will appreciate it, but the majority will see you as incompetent.....
so Your interest in the trigger point, the inpiration, take that & move forward with training to support this interest & inspiration & get accredited in the field Best of luck :)

Only interesting will not be enough there is so many important things you'll be missing which you can't design without it .
Like suitable ratios between design elements , suitable space areas , Elements of psychological and phesical comfort like colors and so , Consistency between colors and furniture to achieve comfort , Consistency between Historical styles and how to achive a design of a specific classic style .
And so many other

Hello Shereen.
Thank you for your invitation.
Basically, being interested in any kind of profession is an essential step as a start; it means that he/she has the required skills,it's a gift.
Then it's his/her choice, either to work on this skill and develop it by getting a proper training, or just feel satisfied of his interest without any practical progress until it's lost and dies with time.
Logically, no one desires to waste his essential key for prosperity; so both are necessary to become a successful interior designer.

Yes Sure! One has to take proper training after having education, not only in Interior Design but in any specific field; his interest in Interior Design will be very much helpful for him in his whole career.
