At our power plant whenever we introduce sparging steam into the hotwell for deaeration there is violent bangs , any ideas?

Initially, the water temp. is low having high density. After heat up, the water temp. increases and density becomes lower then the bubbling sound becomes low.

The bangs are due to disturbance of pressure and temp. of steam.This design should be modified for linear spreading of steam through blades.

Its a poor design. Open this hotwell and observe if the water flowing in is 'evenly distributed' or entering as a plug mass flow.This is hammering and could damage the hotwell walls.

i think it may due to pressure and temperature .
