  1. Photoshop:Go to your swatches window. (Window> Swatches) Delete whatever colors you find there. (Ctrl+Click or Cmd + Click to select multiple swatches before hitting delete.)Create new swatches by using the eyedropper tool and then hitting the "create new swatch" icon in the Swatches Window. Look at the top right hand side of the window, there should be a pop out menu. Click on "Save Swatches as" Give it a name and click okay. You can reset to the default swatches at any time by going to the popout menu and hitting the "Reset Swatches" button. If you wish to load the set you created at any time, simply visit the "Load Swatches" option in the pop out menu.
  2. Illustrator:In the swatches window, create a new swatch by selecting the "New Swatches" iconLook at the new window and select the color you wish to use after giving the swatch a name. You have the choice to save this as a global swatch or not (Saving it as a global swatch will lead to it being applied liberally on many shapes in the document) Click OK.Ctrl+Click (Or Cmd+Click) to select the swatches you want to save, and then hit the "New Group" icon (looks like a little folder) to save them with whatever appropriate name that you wish.
