It depends on person to person, but on an average2 months are enough if you put up a compressed schedule and use the right resources. It also helps if you do group study and solve as many practice exams as you can find. There are many tests available on the internet.

That depends on his/her background experience in the subject matter and the time which he/she can allocate to the study. I estimate between200 to250 study hours are required.

Ideally, you should attend the5 day course (35 hours of contact session) and after that you should work backward to take exam in30 to45 days,2 hours each day. I mentioned backward because most of the aspirants attend the35 hour session and then they never get time to prepare... fill the application form, pay the fee and decide a date..I would like to stress on the fact that you should be looking towards building strong knowledge rather than just doing questions... Ofcourse, once you are confident about the subject, you can practice...

I am sure you must have enough background knowledge for it. Here is where yo start: Spend a regular4 hours a week to read the the pmbook v5 for about4 to6 weeks. In between look for the nearest certified training centre. You should validate35 hours classroom training in one of those centres. get3 days off and study harder full time before you do the white exams Buy a voucher, spend3 good hours guessing the best answers and then celebrate your certificate.

From 3 to 6 month as a full time study period. Also you need to us an up to date PMBOK and Rita Mulcahy book.
