The main difference is the cause as to a fungal infection is caused by a fungus and a bacterial infection is caused by a bacterium. And also the reqiurements might also differ. For example almost all the fungal infections require only the attachment to a cell surface while bacterial infection mainly caused by ingestion

Mohammad Sabeen has given you required answer. Fungal and Bacterial infections are different in their mode of infection and their treatment. There are variety of fungi which cause similar type of bacterial infection their difference can only be determined by going through isolation, identification , characterization and at the end cultural sentitivity. sometimes there are fungal spp. that is difficult to differenciate in this case Dr prescribe broad spectrum antibiotic first.

The difference between a fungal infection and a bacterial infection is the cause. A fungal infection is caused by fungi, whereas a bacterial infection is caused by bacteria. Fungus must be treated by fungicide. Bacterial infection requires antibiotics.
