Students tend to imitate what they see and hence require role models.Mentors make an effort to know, accept, and respect the goals and interests of a student. They help the student to accomplish the best that is possible Mentoring is a powerful tool for helping kids to succeed in life. It is used to enhance learning through one to one mentoring with students having clearly identified personal targets.

Becoming a mentor is like making a wise investment; it can be costly at first but the long-term returns are surprisingly large. Being a mentor can be a personally fulfilling experience, one in which the mentor benefits at least as much as the mentee. The rewards continue long after one's student becomes one's colleague, oftentimes for a lifetime. 

It is something inside the person him/herself which makes him/her feel this way !!
