It is always been said: smart son send him to learn carpentry, the other send to Ironsmith profession, Iron mistake can often be redone and fixed by welding and surfacing , the wood in contrary require always a good care from selecting a adequate raw material and skilled labors work to achieve final quality and shape
Simply because while working with Iron, a welded joint can be given a smooth look in regards to finishes, however Iron (if properly treated) will not decay compared to wood. Wood will always absorb water and in humidity it tends to bend.
I prefer wood because is a natural material and is not necessary to have too much work tools.
I agree with Engr. Tarek Haddad
Because the iron is ready to work, either wood requires cutting, polishing etc.
Simply because while working with Iron, a welded joint can be given a smooth look in regards to finishes, however iron compared to wood joint not easier it is talk time good worker can be given a smooth look in regards to finishes & Wood will always absorb water and in humidity it tends to bend. .Hope all understand.
