I think if you have a diverse customer base geographically , ehtnically or otherwise a CRM is a must.

If you are an SME wanting to be a multinatinal you always want to know

  • How to retain your client base
  • What do your customes want
  • What % of your customersare detractors
  • what % are fence sitters and supporters (would recommend your products to friends and relatives)
  • what is the net effect of your ad campaign . To answer all these questions and more u need a comprehensive CRM.
