Finding and working with the right recruiter can seem like a daunting task. Working with recruiters can be a huge help in your job search, not only in finding a job but finding the right job. But before initiating a recruiter relationship, take time to figure out exactly what you want and which firm will best suit your needs.

  3. Access to exclusive openings

  4. Advice and feedback

  5. Increased efficiency

  6. It’s free to the individual (They generally charge the company)

If you are a job seeker the best friend that u can have is an insider in the co where u want to work , who can recommend you.3rd party recruiters are good provided that u choose the right one and apply for all the cos that they recommend.

As an indevidual I would preffer a mix of a3rd party recruiter , friend in a multinational who could  recommend me, newspaper ads etc and try for a month or2 still contenuing at my previous job.

Never leave a job before finding a new1.

One bird  in the pot is worth a thousand in the bush and a million flying about.

  2. Contingency Agencies are paid by the company when the agency’s candidate is hired.
  3. Retained Search Firms custom locates candidates for a company and are paid upfront or on a progress basis (retained basis).
  4. Employment Agencies are contracted by companies to find candidates for temporary or permanent positions.
  5. Headhunter/Recruiter/Consultant isthe individual you will actually work with that is trying to fill a position for a company.
  6. Temporary (Temp) Agencies find candidatestofill temporary jobs and “temp to perm” positions.
  7. Staffing agencies do the initial employment screening which saves the company time and money.
  8. Employers that experience an unexpected increase in business may favor hiring temps before hiring permanent workers.
  9. Companies are using staffing agencies to “test drive” the performance of a temp before offering a permanent position.

  50. Temping is not a step down.  It’s money, connections, a resume gap stopper and an opportunity to get your foot in the door.
