FRANCHISE is a ready made business of some one else , your role will be at a certain period. whenever the company will have resources or set up , they will take away. my view is that its sort of job with investment, better to avoid it.

Both have pros and cons, depending on many factors, the most important of which is: whether you're more of an entrepeneur OR a businessman. An entrepeneurial spirit will feel more "at home" in a self-created business, in which his creativity and ingenuity will flourish, free of restraints and constraints, being the father, the sole strategist, main decision maker and main owner of profit. Now, starting a franchise is not likely to offer there same "luxuries", as you'll be owner of an existing brand whose marketing, sales & operation strategies (and maybe even processes) are pre-set and legally binding for you to follow. You'll be commander-in-chief of day to day operations, not so very different from being an appointed CEO (better to say, Branch Manager), who happens to own the business location and big part of revenues but NOT the business. A franchise offers more safety as you are in business for yourself, but not only by yourself, since the "mother brands" will guard you, guide you, train you and help you reap the success that will benefit them too. A franchise was not cut for me personally.

Its better to take a franchize rather than opening a new business. For a start up its always preferable to go with the brand to be safe on your investments.
