Showing dedication is a by product of being so. In healthy business environments, this will always be positive. If it is proven to be otherwise, it is a warning sign to check the business environment for any shortcomings and handling them.

Actions will speak for the same and will set an example for others to follow.

This is a very good question but it needs to be explained before being able to give a :qualified" answer.

I think we somehow, need to draw a line between "dedication" and "job slavery"  ... meaning .. yes we need to be dedicated to the work we do .. but within the level and limit the job requires us to do ,,, no more .. and no less!

  1. If we have less dedication than required, we will not be dedciated enough per job requirement and this will flag negatively on our work
  2. If we have more dedication than required, we will then enter into "job slavery" which is not in the interest of anyone on the long run

This whole thing is one thing (having dedication) and it is NOT exactly the same as (showing dedication).  Dedication is NOT a show business in front of your boss  ... not necessarily anyway !!

Showing dedication towards something is our own concern, Dedication’s admiration always comes from others .

According to my opinion there is no need to spread why & what we are doing , We have to stick & forward ahead always with our responsibilities.

Yes, it is one of the key concepts of open book management.

if you are going to show some one that you are working,,its wastage of time for you and your company,,,, YOUR WORK MUST SPEAK LOUDER THAN YOUR WORDS,

I would say yes for the below reason and this will happen oftern in corporate environment.

1. You should showcase others that you're well dedicated and cable enough to take a right decision at the right time. This will helps you in your growth.

2. It is toughest thing to find a solution for any cause but it is really very easy to looting it from some you, this will leads to loosing hope, believing scence and dedication. I have came across this kind of situation so many times

so just do things in your own style and show case to others. Its your chance to tell them you can do anything and everything.

All the best

Anantha

Dedication is

to be committed and enthusiastic about work. To put in that extra bit of effort and be willing to undertake anything at any time even to the extent of outside working hours.
