It is ok to be scared. By being scared will trigger a reaction on how to response to a certain scenario, such as a sudden high turnover of employees. Of course a leader should not cower in fear and let the fear sink in but to rise above the challenge and face the issue. And of course a leader can't appear being scared in front of his subordinates but always maintain professionalism.
I say scared is a big word , leaders are prone to lead what ever the situation is good or bad , and being scared effects the moral of the people you work with and that is alarming . people follow leaders because they belive in their wisdom and strength and once they feel this weakness they will not trust the decisions taken by that leader .
leaders get worried , and some times hesitant but they never get scared . Once they get to this stage they should take a step back and ask for consultation but never allow weakness to rule
only machines have no worries or don't feel scared humans must feel that feeling but best of them who control his reaction
Yes he needs to be scared about the impact of his decisions on his own people. only then he can mae right decision.
Hell no!
TRUE LEADER HAS A BORN QUALITY,,, BRAVERY,,, IF he is scared , check him he is a suedo leader .
"Scare" is an outcome of the emotion "FEAR". Fear is a two sided sword. Learning to use it for our need is a skill and a personality is called as a leader if he/she is good at skills expected from them. In my opinion being scared is good as far as it motivates and pushes them to the goal they sought for.
Getting scared is a human nature by birth, no matter he is a leader or not.
Yes, of course it is OK and natural and human for Leaders to be scared. But true Leaders turn their scare into a positive energy that makes them plan better and take all neccessary precautions to land safely. They get scared but do not panic to be able to think clearly even when scared. Leaders are human, they are not supernatural powers, the difference between them and regular people is that they know how to focus, they have vision, they can draw the path for everyone to follow and they can make use of every situation that someone else might think is negative and useless.
Leaders also have a fear of negative results/impacts of their decisions, however good leaders have a clear vision, strategy and steps to achieve the goals.
