Turns of wire on a transformer core, used to transfer voltage from the input to the core.

primary winding is the winding  to which the input voltage applied. Secondry winding is the winding from where the output is taken.

primary winiding is the input and voltage,current depend on the primary winding

Primary winding o f the X`mer is the no. of turns of the couper wire to chnge the voltage where is frequency reamains same as per requirement with respect to secondary winding.primary winding connected to source and secondary winding to load side or another transmission or distribution.

In short it is the one type of coil which have no. of turns as per requirement.

Primary winding in transformer is the winding receives energy from the source . Changing current from this winding will create a time-variiying magnetic flux that induces a voltage in the other winding (secondary winding)
