Is it possible for a shy person to become a successful salesperson?

only he had abillity to adopt and learn from situation without these he can make some good deals but not for long term. So in my opinion introvert have no place in Marketing or Sales.

Of course.  Shyness can be overcome with proper guidance, training, and willingness to do it.

Of course not salesman needs a lot of chrisma criteria to pass his target sales: i.e. Bold, money oriented, edjcated,....have discipline........etc , but I have experience with my previuos team , in which on of oiur sales team he was veryshy, after couple of months.......... his personality become more & more bold & he acheved nice sales results.

Well, people I can give my example.

 When i was first given the opportunity to do sales , I was very nervous. At first, I can't even pitch customer on phone .I had a disastrous first presentation  and  i was actually fired. But after two years , I m not only doing sales but also gaining immense knowledge and appreciation .Actually , Sales helps to overcome my shyness and it helps me to progress not only in my profession but also in my social life.

Being shy is a disaster not only in Sales field , as any person must give the chance for anything as no one become a scientific unless he / she give himself or herself the chance to think deep inside what can come from his / her soul , but also we must admit that some have skills and others not.

Yes, shy person always hold that smile on his/her face and that what we need as a sales person. That smile make customer comfortable and bingo they are ready to go with the product and services they offer.

Yes, only he needs proper motivation.

Shyness is the fear of may do wrong and lack of self confidence which can be overcome thru development and learning to take any challenges in life.
