What is the difference between Important And Urgent ? in order to set your priorities in your life ?

First we MUST all agree about one thing and the difference is sample, when its urgent then it comes first as need to be finished , but important can wait but still need to be finished after the urgent tasks.

Important - It HAS to be done.

Urgent - It has to be done QUICKLY.

It is important to provide your family with a house/ home to live in. Providing that house/home becomes urgent when you have nowhere else to live.

The difference is not much big but in terms of priorities it differs important is supposed to be done though no time limit when to begin doing it Urgent means it has to be done soonest possible as it is a necessity that will affect you or your business if not done . example youfood you eat because its important to eat and if you don't eat u'll be sick which in this case food turns to be urgent need to save from sickness so

Well, for me urgent means not only important but it has also the command of time to finish. While important, it can be important because the task involves risks or of high value but does not require certain time frame to finish. It just give the idea that the task is of significant value.

URGENT

Urgent tasks are mostly tasks that have an immediate deadline or a deadline that has passed. It is not necessary that these urgent tasks should be time consuming or effort intensive. It is also not necessary that these tasks will have a significant impact on your life ‘“ in fact they may be very trivial or silly. Most often things become urgent or an urgent situation is created when a person always knows that something had to be accomplished but kept deferring it. For instance, acknowledging the receipt of an email or submitting a not so important report ‘“ very trivial but if ignored can become an urgent task.

IMPORTANT

Important tasks, on the other hand, need not have a deadline looming over the person. They are important because of the impact that they can have on the person’s life. Again, these need not be time consuming or effort intensive and may not require you to do it immediately. For instance, planning your education or career since your school days ‘“ it is not something that you need to execute it right now but will help you chart your direction.

An important thing is an issue that you can & have to attend to at a given point in life, it can be done or acconplished any time any where while An urgent thing is an issue that needs immediate response, immediate attention & immediate action because it is critical at that point in life

Well if we categorize them in  long run or short run .Important is long -run & urgent is Short Run

Urjent (Now do it) will get first priority to me then important (Valuable need to do it).
