Which is the more important on its own: a detailed road map or the ability to drive a car?

Both are important; however I think ability to drive a car is more important.

A detailed road map is more important than the ability to drive a car.

Both, Knowing what to do and then how to do both is equally important. If you know driving alone you won't reach destination without knowing where to go.

I think both are important..

If you know how to drive its good. You can reach you target. But you can not if you lost. 

If you know how to drive and know the road map. You know how to reach you target.  

If you know the road map and can not drive. You can not reach your target. 

So having the ability for driving is more important

Firstly, ability to drive a car then only we require a detailed road map to reach our destination. 

The ability to drive gives you the tools to accomplish a goal ,white a detailed map gives you the step by step direction to realize and achieve your goal in a short time with little or no mistakes,which in this case get to your destination through your knowledge of driving to accomplish your goal of arriving to your desired goal (destination) through employing your tools and knowledge of driving to get you where you want.

so I believe they are both of great importance.

if you have a goal and know how to get there but lack the experience and proper tools and skills I don't believe you can get there. And vise versa.

When the detailed road map is available then the destination to drive down (goal) is known and which way to drive to reach the destination is known. Knowing mere driving without the road map is of no use.

Although both are important but If I have to choose one, I'd prefer ability to drive a car

from my point of veiw , there is pervious step first , is to make sure that the one you turst him / her for thhat choice know well how to think ? in order to know the benifites before take any choice , but if i am that person and i need to pick one then , i will choice second as i MUST know well the way how to drive then i can make up my mind to choose detalied map or short one or others.
