as a senior business professional,i have had the chance of making many friendships and partnerships i have been the friend they always remember when they need advice or help.as years went most of them are now at high end positions and enjoy good wealth.recently i have relocated and starting to look for a job,i have turned to my friends for pay back as i helped them in the past.i was chocked that none of the is willing to help?they don't even answer my e mails?what do you think is the cause.just remember i have located jobs for most of them in the past?
OH ! brother Amer, you have touched the pain nerve, yes this may be reality, I cannot understand why this happens even I know some my close friends of childhood and we had shared quality friendship and now some of those have gone to very senior positions and now I feel they have trapped by the attitude and have broken friendship from their side.
But what happens is only for good, that's we have been tought by our parents and also almighty god too.
I do hope that we shall continue our friendship in this way like, no matter over internet and on bayt platform.

Another point, I see that at your level, people will try to avoide your competitivness. As bad as this might sound, but I beleive that it is true.

Its not that the persons attitude changes because of wealth and promotion. Sometimes by acquiring wealth and promotion the genuine attitude of the person surfaces which would have been otherwise curbed for want of the same.
Real money and real power (like the ones of bill gates, carlos slim, warren buffet have) will make you a better person and most of the time closer to God with the goal to be in God's liking. As this happens, you will not have time for petty trivial matters

Answer : surely money and wealth turn people snobby and apparently you made favors,at times,for people who did not deserve it ,they were merely " good actors " when they needed help. would you do them favors if you go back in time?
I believe the only reason is most people are not faithful with their religion because those promoted,having power and money forgot that GOD(Allah for Muslim) never like those who are arrogant..For those faithful,they always think we are all same as a human beings and treat everyone equally.
