If you have access to MATLAB Simulink, there are many modulesthat can be used to model PV arrays. You could also use the models to for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)

The cable should be capable to carry maximum demand load continuously. Over-current relay should be used below thermal capability curve and above maximum demand load.

Simulink is a easily available tool to meet your needs if they are very basic. If not, you can try Homer Pro which has all what you need for Solar Modelling.
